The Benefits Of Same-Day Emergency Dentistry

Relieves your pain

Most dental emergencies are very painful, and can stop you from working, going to school, or living your day-to-day life. Emergency dentistry relieves your pain and allows you to get back to your daily routine.

Prevents complications

The sooner you get help for a dental emergency, the more likely it is that we can save your tooth and prevent further complications related to your dental injury or other dental emergency.

Saves time and money

Immediate care helps you avoid dental complications. That also means you’ll avoid the need for more complex, costly, and invasive dental treatments.

Recover tooth or dental work

If you’ve lost a tooth, recover it and rinse it off with water. Put it into a container of cold milk to keep it moist, and come to our office within 1-2 hours at most. If you’ve lost a crown or another piece of dental work, retrieve it, put it into a plastic container or baggie, and bring it into our office with you.

Treat pain and discomfort

You can take over-the-counter medication like ibuprofen to help with pain. In some cases, you can also use Orajel or a similar topical numbing product. Icing the cheek near the affected area also helps with pain and swelling. If your mouth is bleeding, you can use clean gauze, a paper towel, or a cotton ball to place pressure on the area and absorb blood.
